August Crochet Along- The Team Spirit Challenge!

We’ve Got Spirit, Yes We Do!

August 1st is always bitter sweet. It is full of wandering down the “Back to School” section and breathing in all of the school supplies and yet still get to go home and dig in the dirt. I feel like being excited about fall means I am also wishing away summer. Why not have the best of both worlds with our August Crochet Along the TEAM SPIRIT CHALLENGE!!! Join us as we prepare for fall and be excited about the new start school year yet still, enjoy warm summer weather without the temptation to buy more school supplies (really who doesn’t need crayons and yarn at all times).  Don’t forget to check in with us on our Facebook group page and on Instagram for exclusives and to connect with other crafters!

Our August Crochet Along (CAL) will begin August 21th. With Back-to-School season upon us, we are calling this our Team Spirit Challenge. We are crocheting hats to match our team spirit so show us your colors! The best part of this challenge is you pick the pattern! Join the August Crochet Along group on our Facebook page and vote for your favorite hat. Voting ends Monday, August 7th, and the project begins August 21st. We will publish a materials list Monday afternoon so you can pick your favorite Mary Maxim Yarns to get your supplies ready. The pattern is in the beginner/intermediate range of difficulty. Make it for yourself or as a gift for your favorite scholar or football fan.

I was introduced to the fiber arts like many crafters by my great-grandmother. She was determined that if I ever needed to repair some socks or make myself a sweater then I would know how. Little did she know that it has led to a rather large yarn hoarding addiction and fascination with needles. As a life long crafter I am always learning new techniques and improving my skills.
