Christmas Countdown – Day 1 – Dear Ewe – Free Patterns

December is an exciting month at Mary Maxim.  We have teamed up with dozens of experts to bring you the BEST CHRISTMAS COUNTDOWN ever!  Each day we are releasing a Free Pattern, but it’s only Free for 24 Hours from Mary Maxim.  We are also introducing you to a talented maker or small business who are also releasing a FREE PATTERN only on the Mary Maxim Blog for a limited time.  Make sure to check them out because all patterns disappear from the blog on January 7th.  But wait there’s more!  In addition to these free patterns, each week we are hosting a giveaway.  Each giveaway bundle includes a Mary Maxim online credit, patterns, and special items from these talented makers.  We are hosting 3 giveaways total so that means 3 unique prizes and 3 chances to win.  Each Giveaway begins on a Sunday (Dec. 2nd, Dec. 9th, Dec 16th) and ends the following Saturday.  There are many ways to enter so make sure to come back every day for new patterns and a chance to win.

Dear Ewe,

Screen Shot 2018-11-30 at 2.37.36 PM.pngThe company Dear Ewe launched in May 2018 and celebrates the worldwide makers’ movement.  From that mug for your first cuppa coffee or tea in the morning to the artwork on the wall in your “Happy Crafting Place,” and the playful quote that makes you smile on a tote bag, Dear Ewe designs everything with EWE in mind.

Dear Ewe also provides a range of quality products for crafters.  Right now Dear Ewe is in the process of developing a pattern house so crafters can choose to ‘make’ a variety of patterns from different designers using a diverse range of yarns.  One of their patterns is Little Ewe who, starting today, is taking part in the Sheep on the Shelf Competition.  Anyone that submits a festive photo of Little Ewe from December 1st to the 12th will be added to a prize drawing to win their choice of a Dear Ewe character mug worth £16!!  You can Read more about the competition here.

I was introduced to the fiber arts like many crafters by my great-grandmother. She was determined that if I ever needed to repair some socks or make myself a sweater then I would know how. Little did she know that it has led to a rather large yarn hoarding addiction and fascination with needles. As a life long crafter I am always learning new techniques and improving my skills.
