Meghan Makes Do

Screen Shot 2018-11-30 at 5.12.07 PMHi, I’m Meghan, and I’m so excited to be sharing my ‘Tis The Season corner to corner (C2C) crochet pattern with you! I’m a wife and mother of two living near San Francisco, California. I’ve always been drawn to all things crafty. The first craft I learned was cross-stitching. My grandma taught me one year while on vacation at our family cabin, and I was instantly hooked. Later my mom taught me how to sew and crochet, and I’ve been creating ever since.

In 2017 I started the blog MeghanMakesDo in order to share my love of all things crafty. It was around that same time that I decided to try my hand at crochet pattern design, and after my first pattern was published I realized I had found something I truly loved. Now I share all my patterns, business tips and tutorials on my blog as well as sell finished goods online and at craft shows.

I do most of my work at home, late at night when everyone is in bed, and I can enjoy a sweet treat and a guilty pleasure show like The Bachelor or Bachelorette. When I’m not crocheting or sewing you can find me at Starbucks enjoying a venti iced caramel macchiato and reading the latest selection from my book club.

This year I took on a huge challenge of designing and creating not only one but four corner to corner holiday blankets! It was a lot of work, but so much fun and I’m thrilled to share the very first one in the series, the ‘Tis The Season graphghan with you today. I hope you love it as much as I do!

I was introduced to the fiber arts like many crafters by my great-grandmother. She was determined that if I ever needed to repair some socks or make myself a sweater then I would know how. Little did she know that it has led to a rather large yarn hoarding addiction and fascination with needles. As a life long crafter I am always learning new techniques and improving my skills.
