  • I’m having a problem with Square 40. Do the chain 2’s at the beginning of the rows count as the first hdc? I see in the picture that there are 11 fpdc ridges. Is this correct? It doesn’t come out for me. What am I doing wrong?????????

  • In Square 40 row 3, I cannot make the the count come out correctly with these directions… If you are doing a hdc in the first stitch and not the next stitch (without the chain 2 being the first stitch) then you will get 25 stitches. Can you take a look and tell me what I am doing wrong here? The same issue will happen again in row 5 and so on..

    • The instructions are correct, when working post stitches sometimes other stitches get lost in the mix. I would check your posts and see if you are accidentally skipping/missing a stitch there.

  • I think two of us have asked the same question- is the chain two counted as the first stitch? If not you do get an odd number in row 3.

    • I did that square so long ago.. no I do not believe it is to be counted, as long as you have 11 ridges you should be fine.
