Crochet Along (Week 11)

Week Eleven! We only have a few weeks left until our Crochet- Along is finished. If you are just coming to us, don’t worry, all of our previous weeks are still available here. Square 33

Ch 26 loosely

Row 1: Sc in 2nd ch from hook and in each ch to end, turn. – 25 sc

Row 2: Ch 3, skip next sc, *2 dc in next sc, skip next sc; rep from * to last sc, dc in last sc, turn. – 24 dc

Row 3: Ch 1, 2 sc in first dc, sc in each dc to end, turn. (25 sc)

Repeat rows 2-3 until square measures 7”

Square 34

Ch 28 loosely

Row 1: Dc in 4th ch from hook and in each ch to end, turn. (26 sts)

Row 2: Ch 2, skip first dc, *work Fpdc around posts of next 3 dc, work Bpdc around posts of next 3 dc; rep from * across, hdc in top of beg ch, turn. (26 sts)

Row 3: Ch 2, skip first hdc, * work Fpdc around posts of next 3 sts, work Bpdc around posts of next 3 sts; rep from *across, hdc in top of beg ch, turn.

Row 4 and 5: Ch 2, skip first hdc, *work Bpdc around posts of next 3 sts, work Fpdc around posts of next 3 sts; rep from *across, hdc in top of beg ch, turn.

Row 6: Work as Row 3.

Repeat Rows 3-6 until measures 7”

Square 35

Ch 26 loosely

Row 1: Dc in 4th ch from hook and in each ch to end, turn . (24 sts)

Row 2: Ch 1, sc in each st to end, turn . (24 sc)

Row 3: Ch 3, *dc in each of next 2 sc, skip next sc, work Fptr around post of dc below next sc, work Fpdc around post of next dc (on same row), working around both Fpdc just made, work Fpdc around the post of dc to the right of first Fpdc, skip 3 sc behind Fptr group; rep from * to last 3 sc, dc in each of last 3 sc, turn.

Row 4: Ch 1, sc in each st to end, turn. (24 sts)

Row 5: Ch 3, *dc in each of next 2 sc, (skip first Fpdc on row below, Fpdc around the second and third Fpdc, then Fpdc around skipped Fpdc) Cable made, skip 3 sc behind Fpdc group; rep from * to last sc, dc in each of last 3 sc, turn. (4 Cables)

Repeat Rows 4-5 until square measures 7”

  • For square 34 I found doing 29 chains allows for all sets of 3’s fpdc and all sets of 3’s bpdc along with hdc on end of row.

  • I have been crocheting for more than 40 years. I have seen the pattern in square #34 before in pictures. However, I never took the time to learn how to do it because it looked too complicated. I am excited that I have now learned how to make this pattern and even more excited to see how it easy it really is! Thank you for including it in the CAL.
