January Blog Exclusive – Crochet Spa Mittens

Whew!  It’s been a busy December for crafters!  Thank you for crafting with us all year long.  We’ve really enjoyed getting to know you on our Social Media pages and being a part of your creative circle as you are a part of our Mary Maxim family.  If you are new to our blog make sure to look through our Christmas Countdown posts.  We released free patterns from independent designers throughout our countdown to Christmas day.  Thank you for all of your encouraging comments and Christmas Wishes during the countdown, we did our best to reply to all of them and we really appreciated your thoughts during the holiday season.

Now that the busy Christmas Crafting season is over (or just starting depending on how you look at it) our blog is getting back down to business.  This month we have two fantastic blog exclusive patterns for you, we’ll also be finishing our series on the C2C technique.

Blog Exclusive – Crochet Spa Mittens.

Next week we will be releasing our first Blog Exclusive pattern of the year, the Oh My Spa Mittens.  This pattern uses 2 balls (1 of each color) of Oh My yarn.  We’ve chosen to design the first exclusive pattern with 1 ball of Cream as our main color (MC) and 1 ball of Coral as our contrasting color (CC).

Oh My yarn is destined to become one of your favorite yarns after crocheting these spa gloves.  It’s a perfect selfish crocheting project after the busy Christmas Season. This pattern release is especially timely if you live in a colder climate where hands are in need of some winter pampering.   Oh My yarn is 100% Polyester and each ball is approximately 257 yards.  This pliable yarn has a velvety plush feel that is so cozy on your hands.  Pick out your favorite two colors of Oh My yarn, your favorite lotions, and get ready for this pattern release!

I was introduced to the fiber arts like many crafters by my great-grandmother. She was determined that if I ever needed to repair some socks or make myself a sweater then I would know how. Little did she know that it has led to a rather large yarn hoarding addiction and fascination with needles. As a life long crafter I am always learning new techniques and improving my skills.
