I was introduced to the fiber arts like many crafters by my great-grandmother. She was determined that if I ever needed to repair some socks or make myself a sweater then I would know how. Little did she know that it has led to a rather large yarn hoarding addiction and fascination with needles. As a life long crafter I am always learning new techniques and improving my skills.

  • I want todo this. A temperature blanket has been on my list for awhile. I am going to use your to use your schematics to do one. Thank you.

  • I hope to start my blanket the beginning of next month. I just need money to buy the yarn. Will keep you updated as I go.

  • I’m wanting to do this for my grand daughter born march 27 2018. How much yarn do you order/accord for?

    • Congratulations! It’s really going to depend on where you live. If you want to be as accurate as possible look for years with similar weather patterns to try to determine how much yarn of each color you need, then add about 20 percent for inconsistencies in weather and crocheting. If you want to make it less complicated find a mode (most frequently occurring) high and low of each month in your area and you’ll have a general idea of what you are going to use.
