I had this design playing around in my head for a while and finally decided to make it! I am relaxing with this pattern I crochet looser than most and found out that gauge is very important for patterns! From all my pattern testing I have intertwined different techniques from other designers and new stitches that I have learned or love seeing on a hat!
Thanks for joining our Second Annual Christmas Countdown. Each day for the month of December we check off a day on our calendar with a free pattern either by Mary Maxim or by a featured maker. Today we are featuring an iconic pattern, the one that Mary Maxim is best known for and easily one of the most customizable patterns in our Collection
I wanted to create a pattern that reflected the classic beauty of the tartans I had researched but one that did not involve complex stitches or color changes.
