Most of our knit projects on the blog begin with the Long Tail Cast On also known as the Double Cast On. It’s one of the most versatile, popular, and most recognizable cast ons. It provides a firm edge with just enough elasticity for a variety of projects and is excellent for beginners.
As an avid crafter the Crochet Moss Stitch is one of my favorite stitch combinations and by far one of the most versatile. You can find use of the moss stitch technique when working with planned pooling like in the free Patterned Scarf Pattern. It looks wonderful worked in the round, from corner to corner, in garments afghans and accessories. This technique is featured in many of our most popular kits like the Chasing Rainbows Blanket, and the Linen Ripple Blanket. Give the crochet moss stitch a try and explore the possibilities in crochet.
