Hi! My name is Pamela Stark and I am so excited to be part of the Mary Maxim Christmas Countdown. My crochet journey began in 2012 when I was looking for something to do while my son napped. I can honestly say that I had NO idea what was in store for me when I first put a hook to yarn. What began as a simple hobby has blossomed into a passion for all things fiber.

Although my design focus is primarily on everyday wearables, I hope you will find that I have plenty of fun ideas that you can integrate into every aspect of your life.

Over the years, I have tackled many different projects and experiences, such as being commissioned by author Laurel Heger to bring her beloved children’s book characters to life in the Garden Friends Hoodlets, being published in 2 books, and even having the Butterfly Breeze Poncho voted Top Crochet Pattern Design of 2014 by Craftsy users!

I’m so happy to have met you, and hope that you check out my blog and crochet with me!

Sincerely, Pam

Easy Peasy Dish Towel

I really enjoyed using Mary Maxim Dishcloth Cotton! This was a limited edition yarn that Mary Maxim had and if you are lucky enough to have some around, then consider making the Free Dish Towel Pattern.  This yarn is FANTASTIC! It’s a DK weight, 3 yarn made from a cotton polyamide blend. Polymide, also known as nylon fabric, is made of plastic which helps enhance durability. It’s machine wash, tumble dry low. Although soft, this cotton is a workhorse. As the name suggests, Dishcloth Cotton suits dishcloths and dishtowels, but I would also use it for market bags, baskets, and face scrubbies.  You can also substitute another coating yarn for this pattern like Premier Home.
