We are getting so close to Christmas and today feels like a gift. Today we are kicking off a slew of amazing makers to be featured almost every day this week. Shanice is new to the Mary Maxim family of yarns and we are loving the feedback she gave us. She made her Charleigh Brim Beanie with Mary Maxim Starlette and Mary Maxim Aran Irish Tweed yarn. Make sure to follow Shanice on Instagram and Facebook.
Hey! I’m Shanice.
I’m the gal behind it all. I’m a military spouse with a passion for all things crochet and helping Mamas create special moments with their littles! I started designing crochet patterns with the everyday Mama in mind to help bring love and laughter to her family’s life and create everlasting memories. I hope my blog inspires you to let your creativity run wild and bring smiles to your families’ lives!
Free Slouchy Beanie
I did manage to get out one last pattern before the New Year and it is a beauty! If you’ve been following along with my patterns and on my blog (Subscribe! I often have some incredible freebies.) then you know that I have a thing for texture and detail. I love a good pattern that works up quickly but still has SO much detail. If you follow me on Instagram, you might already know which pattern I’m talking about…the Charleigh Brim Beanie! I love slouchy beanies and I wanted to design one that was classy enough to be a statement accessory but also compliment a nice outfit. This beanie is truly versatile, you can choose to wear it fitted by folding the brim up higher or only fold just a little to leave it slouchy!
I had the pleasure of working with Mary Maxim yarn for this design and I’m so in love with their yarn! This was my first time actually using it and let me tell you, I’ve been missing out on some amazing yarn! I used their Starlette worsted weight yarn and I paired it with their Irish tweed yarn. Starlette is so incredibly soft and squishy and Irish tweed is a dream to work with. Check out their yarn if you haven’t already!
