Merry Christmas Eve Eve.  With only two days left until the big day, we want to say thank you for choosing to spend some of your holiday season with us.  We have a wonderful featured designer today.  Make sure to follow Tonja on Instagram and on Facebook.

BioPic.jpgHello Makers, I’m Tonja Pe Benito, the creative designer behind Pink Plumeria Maui.

I have been creative since a very young age. My mom taught me to sew at the age of five and then I started quilting. In the spring of 2014, I learned to crochet, while my mom was visiting. I had 3 little boys at the time and wanted to have some handmade items for them. My love of yarn sparked and I used YouTube and library books to continue teaching myself techniques. I started making beanies, scarves, pillows and before I knew it my life was filled with yarn. I love working with yarn as it gives me such much joy to create something with my own two hands.

I just learned to knit a year ago and it was one of the best things I could have taught myself. I love knitting as it’s soothing and relaxing. I really love knitting chunky projects that work up quickly and look great. I currently have patterns on my blog and I’m adding more all the time.

The Step Up Chunky Cowl is a knitting pattern that speaks to my heart. I love using bulky yarn and this pattern uses two strands of bulky yarn. The Step Up Chunky Cowl works up super quick and would make a great last-minute gift. Using a chunky set of circular needles and two strands of Mary Maxim Titan yarn, the cowl is soft and will keep any neck warm.

You can choose a two-colored cowl or a single colored cowl to fit your style. The Step Up Chunky Cowl will make a fun addition to any attire. DOWNLOAD IS EXPIRED
