Life and Yarn

46850120_1172628429553004_8372894097643405312_n.jpgHello Mary Maxim Readers! I am Brianna and the Maker Mama Designer of Life and Yarn! I have a unique and modern, yet classic design style that is sure to stand out. My goal with Life and Yarn is to create designs that span across generations! I enjoy a good project that I can bond with my children while making something beautiful.  A Life and Yarn Design is easy enough for a beginner but satisfying to a seasoned maker, I promise! I love texture, unique shapes and stitch combinations, you will not be disappointed with your Life and Yarn Makes!

I have always been a maker, a creator and just an all-around imaginative person! I love the process of creating, from dreaming up an idea to bringing it to life! The experience from when I began to design crochet patterns and then taking a step further to share my ideas and creations with you has been an amazing experience, and I want to thank you for joining me on this creative journey! I learned very young like a lot of crafters, but my love for Fiber Arts grew when I wanted to make keepsakes for my little guy! Nowadays I am designing non-stop with my two littles on my lap trying to build this dream of a business! So much is possible with crochet and it is a world I love to explore! I am so excited to be sharing my Adena Double Brim Beanie with you! I hope you love this comfy cozy beanie as much as I do!

Crochet Double Brim Beanie

Screen Shot 2019-11-27 at 11.48.57 AM.pngHave you ever made a Crochet Double Brim Beanie? No? Yeah, me neither, this was my first one! I have seen so many knit double brim beanies and they look so cozy, but my knitting skills are not strong! I have had this amazingly soft Mary Maxim Mellowspun Yarn sitting in my yarn cabinet for a while now and it was just screaming to be something. I really needed a fast project as something to cleanse my crochet pallet since I have been working on so many large projects, you know what I mean right? A beanie was perfect but I wanted just a bit of a challenge, so I decided to try a crochet double brim beanie! Once I got going and after a bit of trial and error, I have to say it was not as complicated as I anticipated. I am so happy with the cozy result and I hope you are too! This is a great project for some last-minute Christmas gifts! I have it worked up in a range of sizes and you can gift it to the boys too! This is a great unisex beanie! You can choose to add a pom pom or keep it plain! Time to get creative!

If you love this pattern I have a ton of others for free on my blog, or if you are on social media you can follow me there too! I am on Instagram @life.and.yarn ( and on Facebook, Life and Yarn Desings
