I wanted to create a pattern that reflected the classic beauty of the tartans I had researched but one that did not involve complex stitches or color changes. When I saw the Moss, Cranberry and Stardust colors of Mary Maxim’s Woodlands yarn, I was instantly inspired and knew those were the colors that I needed to use for the design.
